The 2025-26 academic year marks Jennifer Bergstein's 14th at Farmingdale State College. After starting as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2012 and moving to the Head Athletic Trainer role in 2017, she was promoted to Director of Sports Medicine in November 2021.

Upon her arrival at FSC, Bergstein immediately established online procedures to help streamline the Rams' student-athlete clearance process. Along with providing medical coverage for Farmingdale State teams at games and practices, she helped develop the department's concussion protocol, and has been responsible for the budget and incorporating new therapeutic modalities into the athletic training room.

A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science/Athletic Training with a minor in Wellness, Bergstein served a three-year stint on the athletic training staff at Nassau Community College before receiving her Master's Degree in Adolescence Education in Biology from Dowling College in January 2010. While completing her studies, she spent time as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Glen Cove School District from 2009-12. In the summers, Bergstein volunteers at the Naval Academy Lacrosse Camp in Annapolis, Maryland as an Athletic Trainer/First Aider.

Bergstein is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and holds New York State initial licenses to teach both Biology 5-12 and Health Education K-12. She currently resides in North Massapequa, N.Y.
