Caryl Senn-Griffiths has been a volunteer coach at Farmingdale State since 1986. She is a former USA and Olympic Track Coach of the USA Amputee Team, where she coached for 15 years. International competitions she took part in include: Barcelona, Spain; the Atlanta Olympic Games; the World Championships in Berlin, Germany; the Pan American Games in Mexico City, Mexico; and the Paralympic Revival in Duderstadt, Germany.

As a track runner, Senn-Griffiths was a Two-Time All-American in the Heptathlon at Ithaca College. She is a former ECAC Champion and Record holder in the Heptathlon and Pentathlon while she attended Ithaca. Senn-Griffiths is a 14-Time Empire State Games Champion in the Heptathlon. She is a Master's World Record holder in the Pentathlon and 4x400 Relay, as well as a Master's American Record holder in the Heptathlon.

Senn-Griffiths has been a Physical Therapist and Director of Sports Medicine at a facility in Massapequa for the past 16 years. She was inducted into the Massapequa / Berner High School Hall of Fame for career and athletic achievements.
