Biography

Karla is a 2015 graduate of Carle Place High School. She was MVP 2013 and 2014, all conference, and all class 2012 and 2013. She was also MVP for the Suffolk vs. Nassau all star game. Karla is the daughter of Cristina and Carlos Gomes.

Sophomore year...Appeared in eight games with six starts...Made 26 saves while only allowing four goals...Held a 0.70 GAA and .867 save percentage.

Freshman year...Appeared in goal for 13-of-20 games...Ranked third in the Skyline for shutouts...Allowed only one goal in 751 minutes of action...Held a 0.12 goals against average and a .972 save percentage...Stopped a career-high 13 shots at #1 Messiah and held them scoreless for the first time in 11 seasons.
