Anthony, who is a USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified coach,joined the FSC coaching staff in the fall of 2013 and will be theThrows coach.
Coach Forti brings 18 years of experience to Farmingdale Stateand has held coaching positions for Half Hollow Hills SchoolDistrict, St. Anthony’s High School and Bay Shore SchoolDistrict. He has served as a District Weight Event Coach, orBoy’s and Girl’s Weight Event Coach at those schools.For the past two years, Anthony has been a private coach to highschool and college athletes that desire one-on-one personalizedinstruction throughout the season and off-season.
During his career in indoor, he has coached one Girl’sCounty Champion, one Boy’s County Champion, eight All-Countyselections, four female athletes in Top-25 in State rankings, threeGirl’s Qualifiers for the NY State meet, along with oneAll-State and All-Federation selection in Shot Put. For outdoor, hehas coached 13 All-County Selections, two County MVP’s, fiveQualifiers for the NY State meet, three Girl’s All-State, twoBoy’s All-State, six Girl’s County Champions and fiveBoy’s County Champions in the Shot Put and Discus. He alsohas had seven male and female athletes who have qualified for thenational list in the Hammer and Weight Throw.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook andholds a Master’s of Education from Dowling College. He iscurrently a Chemistry Teacher in Lindenhurst and resides in PortJefferson Station, N.Y.
