FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Skyline Conference released its first weekly reports for the fall season on Tuesday afternoon, and two student-athletes from Farmingdale State College received awards, while another earned honorable mention praise.

Women's Soccer (1-1) | Skyline Report

The Rams opened the season with a split in their home invitational, dropping a 2-0 decision Saturday to Plattsburgh State before capturing a come from behind, 2-1 triumph Sunday afternoon over Westfield State.

Providing the offensive spark in the victory was sophomore midfielder Jenna Biondo (North Babylon, N.Y.), who was selected as the Skyline's Player of the Week after assisting on the tying goal in the 68th minute of action, before burying the match-winning penalty kick with just over one minute on the clock. 

With the victory, 22nd-year head coach Chris Roche collected his 250th career victory at Farmingdale State. During his tenure, the Rams have won 14 Skyline Conference championships, and participated in as many NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship tournaments.

FSC next travels to Salem, Va., for this weekend's Hyatt Place Showcase, hosted by Roanoke College. The Rams will face off with Gettysburg College on Saturday afternoon at 2:30, before taking on Greensboro College at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Cross Country | Men's Skyline Report | Women's Skyline Report

Farmingdale State's teams took to Bethpage State Park on Friday afternoon, competing in the Adelphi Panthers XC Invite in a field comprised of predominantly Division I and II institutions.

On the women's side, freshman Julia Vitello (Webster, N.Y.) made an instant impact for the Rams, garnering Skyline Rookie of the Week accolades. She was the top-placing Division III freshman, as she clocked a team-best 29:18.1 on the 6,000-meter loop.

The Rams are back on the course Saturday morning, when they travel to Westchester County for the Purchase College Invitational at 9:30 a.m.

Volleyball (2-1) | Skyline Report

FSC won two of its three contests in the opening week of play under first-year head coach Brooke Cole, falling Tuesday at FDU-Florham in four sets before responding with victories against CCNY (3-2) and Suffolk (3-1) on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Junior outside hitter Samantha Russo (Bay Shore, N.Y.) was an honorable mention selection on the Skyline's weekly report after averaging 2.69 kills, 3.0 points and 3.85 digs per set while hitting at a .267 clip.

Tuesday's scheduled home match versus Bard College was postponed, and will be made up on November 5 (Thu.) at 7 p.m. The Rams' lone contest of this week will take place on the road Thursday night at Ramapo, with first serve slated for 6 p.m.

Men's Soccer (0-2-1) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State opened its season with a 1-1 draw Tuesday against Brooklyn College behind a second-half tying goal from sophomore winger Lucca Noboa (Freeport, N.Y.), before falling to Western Connecticut (4-1) and Eastern Connecticut (2-1) on Thursday and Sunday, respectively.

The Rams have a three-match week lined up, beginning with Wednesday's 4 p.m. tilt against Rutgers-Newark. FSC will then welcome CCNY for a 4 p.m. kickoff on Friday, before playing a 3 p.m. road match Saturday at The College of New Jersey.

Women's Tennis (0-2) | Skyline Report

FSC began its season with a pair of matches in Upstate New York, losing Sunday at Oswego State and Monday morning at Cortland.

Skyline Conference play begins Wednesday afternoon at 4:30, when the Rams play host to Yeshiva University. Farmingdale State will then welcome UMass Boston for a 4 p.m. start on Friday, along with a noontime first serve on Saturday versus Hunter.

Golf

Farmingdale State will kick off its 2026-27 campaign at Eisenhower Park's Red Course on Saturday and Sunday, when it plays host to the Fifth Annual George Cangero Invitational.
