FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Skyline Conference released its weekly reports on Monday afternoon, and Farmingdale State College student-athletes received four weekly honors, while two garnered honorable mention accolades.

Women's Soccer (4-2-1, 1-0 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The women's soccer team played three matches last week, tying WestConn (0-0), defeating Manhattanville (1-0), and falling to Scranton (7-0).

Freshman goalkeeper Charlotte Hoina (Holbrook, N.Y.) was named Skyline's Defensive Player of the Week after earning Rookie of the Week honors just one week ago. She appeared in two games for FSC and posted a pair of shutouts, extending her shutout streak to four straight matches to begin her collegiate career.

This week, the Rams will play one conference match: Saturday vs. Mount Saint Mary at 2:30 p.m.

Men's Soccer (2-5-1, 0-1 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The Rams played host to non-conference opponent Baruch last week, earning a 5-3 victory, before dropping their Skyline Conference opener, 1-0, at Manhattanville. 

Freshman forward Javier Newman (Amityville, N.Y.) was named both the Skyline Conference Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week following his historic performance versus the Bearcats. Newman record three goals and an assist becoming the first student-athlete in program history to record a hat trick in his collegiate debut, while his seven points tied for the third-most in a single game in program history.

FSC continues their Skyline Conference schedule with two matches this week: Tuesday at Maritime at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday versus Mount Saint Mary at noon.

Golf | Skyline Report

The men's golf team traveled to Williamstown, Massachusetts to compete in the 54-hole Williams Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Club over the weekend and finished in 14th place.

Freshman Jacob Andersen (Medford, N.Y.) was selected as the Skyline's Rookie of the Week, after carding rounds of 76, 81, and 82 in the cold and rainy conditions.

Senior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week honor roll following a 28th place finish among 88 golfers. He tallied rounds of 79, 73 and 77 for a three-round total of 229 (+16).

After a week off, the Rams will next compete in the RPI Collegiate Invitational on Monday, October 5th at Shaker Ridge Country Club in Loudonville, N.Y.

Volleyball (4-1) | Skyline Report

The Rams rolled to a pair of non-conference wins last week, defeating Hunter College, 3-1, and Brooklyn College in straight sets.

Senior setter Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week honor roll after dishing out 66 assists across the two matches and becoming Farmingdale State's all-time career assists leader.

This week, the volleyball team will travel to Western Connecticut on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before hosting SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Women's Tennis (1-5, 1-0 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The women's tennis team fell to Pratt in their lone match last week. 

This week, the Rams host WestConn in a non-conference match on Monday at 4:30 p.m. before traveling to Manhattanville for a Conference match on Saturday at noon.

Men's Tennis (1-0)

FSC kicked off their 2026-27 season on Saturday versus Pratt Institute, earning a 5-2 victory.

The Rams will compete in the ITA Regional Championship this week in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

FSC had the week off from competition and will next compete September 26th in Stony Brook, N.Y. at the St. Joseph's-Long Island Golden Eagle Invitational.
