FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Skyline Conference released its weekly reports on Monday afternoon, and Farmingdale State College student-athletes received five weekly honors, while two garnered honorable mention accolades.

Women's Soccer (3-1) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State ran its winning streak to three straight games by sweeping its pair of matches in Salem, Va., at the Hyatt Place Showcase. Off to their best start since the 2019 Rams won four consecutive matches to open the campaign, FSC defeated Gettysburg College in the closing minutes Saturday, before turning around 24 hours later to score a 3-0 decision over Greensboro College.

Senior fullback Maiya Christmas (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and keeper Charlotte Hoina (Holbrook, N.Y.) were named the Skyline's Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, after both played instrumental roles in Farmingdale State posting consecutive shutouts. Hoina made eight saves across her first two collegiate starts, including seven in Saturday's win against the Bullets. 

Senior forward Kayla Mendez (Staten Island, N.Y.) was named to the conference's honorable mention listing after scoring both game-winning goals. She provided the only goal of the match on Saturday versus the Bullets with just over three minutes to play, before opening the scoring 17 minutes in against Greensboro.

FSC has a three-match week on the docket, beginning with Wednesday's 7 p.m. home kickoff versus Western Connecticut. The Rams will then open Skyline Conference play Saturday at Manhattanville in a 3 p.m. start, before playing host to the University of Scranton in a noontime matinee Sunday.

Golf | Skyline Report

The defending Skyline Conference champions opened their season Saturday at Eisenhower Park's Red Course, as Farmingdale State placed second in the Fifth Annual George Cangero Invitational, named in honor of the late Rams coach. FSC carded a team score of 300, just one stroke behind victorious North Carolina Wesleyan.

Freshman Jacob Andersen (Medford, N.Y.) was selected as the Skyline's Player and Rookie of the Week, after earning medalist honors in his collegiate debut by tying for first place with a score of 71 (-1). He is just the third Farmingdale State player to win his first career collegiate tournament (Adam Larkin, 2010 Skidmore Fall Invitational; Ryan Reed, 2015 FSC Skyline Invitational).

The Rams will compete this weekend in Williamstown, Mass., when they compete Saturday and Sunday in the 54-hole Williams Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Club. The competition will feature two rounds of play on Saturday, before an 18-hole finale to close out the competition.

Cross Country | Men's Skyline Report | Women's Skyline Report

The Rams competed Saturday at the Purchase College Invitational, as the men's team earned a third-place finish, with the women's contingent placing seventh.

For the second week in a row, the women's team was led by Julia Vitello (Webster, N.Y.), who was the top freshman Skyline finisher and repeated as its Rookie of the Week, courtesy of her 16th-place time of 18:08.3 on the 4,000-meter course.

FSC is off from competition this week, and will next compete September 26 in Stony Brook, N.Y., at St. Joseph's-Long Island's Golden Eagle Invitational.

Men's Soccer (1-4-1) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State went 1-2 this past week, falling in matches to New Jersey Athletic Conference opponents Rutgers-Newark and The College of New Jersey, while picking up a 5-0 victory Friday afternoon against CCNY.

In the victory over the Beavers, Skyline honorable mention recipient and sophomore winger Lucca Noboa (Freeport, N.Y.) tied the program's single-game assist record with three first-half helpers, while adding one goal of his own before halftime.

The Rams will play host to Baruch on Wednesday afternoon at 4, before opening their Skyline Conference schedule with a noontime start on Saturday at Manhattanville.

Volleyball (2-1) | Skyline Report

After its pair of matches last week were postponed, FSC has a pair of midweek, 6 p.m. non-conference matches this week – Tuesday at Hunter, and Thursday at Brooklyn College.

Women's Tennis (1-4, 1-0 Skyline) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State opened Skyline Conference action with a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday versus Yeshiva, before suffering defeats on the weekend to UMass Boston (Friday) and Hunter (Saturday).

The Rams' lone match of the week is Saturday at noon, when they play host to Pratt Institute.

Men's Tennis

FSC, the defending Skyline champions, will kick off their 2026-27 season Saturday at noon when it takes on Pratt Institute.
