NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference released its latest spring weekly reports on Monday afternoon, and four student-athletes from Farmingdale State College were recognized with weekly awards.
Men's Lacrosse (3-0) | Skyline Weekly Report
The men's lacrosse team earned an 18-12 win at Hartwick College on Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the year.
Junior long-stick midfielderÂ
Sean Lawson (Mattituck, N.Y.) was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week after scoring a career-high two goals while also scooping up seven ground balls for the third consecutive game. He added one caused turnover and went 2-for-3 on faceoffs.
In addition, freshman attack
Ethan Vargas (Bay Shore, N.Y.) was named the Skyline's Rookie of the Week following a three-goal performance at Hartwick. He tallied the game-winning goal, a man-up score, one caused turnover and a ground ball in the win.
Junior attacker
Joey Forchelli (Seaford, N.Y.) earned a spot on the honor roll after registering a game-high seven points on five goals and two assists.
This week, FSC plays a pair on non-conference games: Tuesday at Utica at 4:00 p.m. and Friday vs. Eastern Connecticut at 4:00 p.m.
Women's Lacrosse (0-1) | Skyline Weekly Report
The Rams fell to visiting Western Connecticut State in their season opener over the weekend.
Farmingdale State junior attack
Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and sophomore defender
Rebecca Lohman (Levittown, N.Y.) earned Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Livingston led the Rams offensively in their season opener, totaling three goals and one assist. She was a perfect 2-for-2 on her free-position attempts. Lohman recorded a career-best three caused turnovers in the loss.
This week, the women's lacrosse team will travel to Vassar College on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. before hosting Montclair State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Indoor Track & Field
The track & field teams finished competition at the NJACÂ Championships last week, with the men finishing in fifth place and the women taking seventh. Junior
Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) earned wins in both the shot put and weight throw to lead the Rams.
Farmingdale State heads to the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships this weekend as 14 student-athletes will compete for the Rams.
Men's Tennis
The FSC men's tennis team will kick off their spring schedule with a road match at Hobart College on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. They split their two fall matches and are 1-1 on the year.
Men's Basketball (24-4)
The men's basketball team earned wins over St. Joseph's-Long Island, 83-62, and Sarah Lawrence, 82-75, in the Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds of the Skyline Conference Championship before falling to Yeshiva, 79-72, in the Final on Sunday.
FSC finished with the second-highest win total in program history with 24 victories in 2025-26.
Women's Basketball (15-12)
Farmingdale State hosted the First Round of the Skyline Conference Championship, defeating St. Joseph's-Long Island by a score of 43-37. They fell to Manhattanville, 81-58, in the Semifinals as they ended their season with an overall record of 15-12.
