BRONX, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College cross country teams returned to the course Sunday for the Queensborough Cross Country Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park, with the Rams' men's team placing third (105 points) and the women's squad finishing 16th (403).
The men's side was paced by junior
Gabriel Aguilar (Levittown, N.Y.), who completed the 8,000-meter loop in a time of 30:19.5. Sophomore
Jack Lengyel (Cheshire, Conn.) followed suit with a 15th-place time of 31:41.8, while freshman
Gavin Calvo (Mastic, N.Y.) and junior
Max Reilly (Levittown, N.Y.) placed 28th (33:12.4) and 29th (33:21.6), respectively. Freshman Aidan Carrington (East Setauket, N.Y.) rounded out the FSC scoring quintet, crossing the finish line in a 33rd-place time of 33:58.3.
In the 5,000-meter women's competition, freshman
Amelia Vitale (Hauppauge, N.Y.) continued her strong rookie campaign, as she placed 12th with a time of 23:14.2 to lead Farmingdale State's finishers. Freshman
Emily Graziano (East Islip, N.Y.) was the next Rams runner across the finish line with her time of 29:20.6, and was followed by junior
Mishell Delgado's (Bronx, N.Y.) 31:36.3 showing. Senior
Olivia Finnegan (Massapequa, N.Y.) and junior
Mia Harris (Manhattan, N.Y.) closed out the Farmingdale State scoring with times of 32:25.6 and 33:28.1, respectively.
FSC is next in action on Saturday, Oct. 11, when it travels to Newark, N.J., for the NJIT XC Invitational at Branch Brook Park.
