RESULTS
LEWISBURG, PA | Led by a two-under-par 68 from freshman Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) on Monday, the Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in second place at Drew University's The Gauntlet. The Rams posted a season-low score of 286 (+6) in Monday's final round for a 36-hole total of 577 (+17), finishing just five shots behind champion Drew (572).
Connolly's second round featured a three-under on the back nine, including five birdies, earning him second place individually at one-under par (139). He finished only behind Drew's Elliot Parker, who won medalist honors with back-to-back 66's for a total of 132 (-8).
Junior Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) recorded a 71 (+1) to tie for fifth overall at 141 (+1), while sophomore Rishi Talwar (East Farmingdale, N.Y.) shot 72 (+2) to secure a top-10 finish with a two-day score of 145 (+5).
Junior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) added a 75 (+5) and freshman Mitchel Creamer (Mission Viejo, Calif.) carded an 80 (+10) in the second round for FSC..
Franklin & Marshall placed third on the team leaderboard with a total of 580 (+20), while McDaniel was fourth at 582 (+22).
The Rams return to action at the RPI Collegiate Invitational on Sunday, October 5th and Monday, October 6th at Shaker Ridge Country Club in Loudonville, N.Y.
