LEWISBURG, PA | Behind an even-par round of 70 from junior Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.), the Farmingdale State men's golf team sits in third place out of 15 teams after the opening round of The Gauntlet, hosted by Drew University at Bucknell Golf Club. The Rams carded a team total of 291 (+11) on Sunday and trail only Drew (287) and Franklin & Marshall (290).
O'Grady-Rodgers is tied for fourth individually, placing him just four shots off the lead held by Drew's Elliot Parker (66). Farmingdale State freshman Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) fired a 71 (+1) on Sunday and is currently tied for sixth overall.
Sophomore Rishi Talwar (East Farmingdale, N.Y.) registered a 73 (+3), while junior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) and freshman Mitchel Creamer (Mission Viejo, CA) each posted a 77 (+7) to round out FSC's scoring.
The second and final round of The Gauntlet is scheduled for Monday with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
