Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) each scored twice as the women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 Skyline Conference victory over visiting St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Sunday. FSC improved to 3-3-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the conference.
The Rams opened the scoring in the 12th minute as junior
Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) sent a cross for Rivera who gathered the ball and scored to the right of the net.
Just 7:30 later, Schenk registered her first goal of the game, burying a shot from 30 yards out to the top left of the net.
Farmingdale State made it 3-0 in the 31st minute on Schenk's second goal just outside the box, off the pass from junior midfielder
Maddy Berry (Glen Head, N.Y.).
FSC had 25 shots in the first 45 minutes of play, including 15 on goal.
Rivera scored the lone goal of the second half with 8:09 remaining, off the feed from sophomore defender
Alexandra Coloma (Seaford, N.Y.), as Farmingdale State went on for the 4-0 Skyline victory.
The Rams finished with 38 shots and 15 corner kicks to none for the Bears.Â
Schenk and Rivera had four points apiece, while McNeil, Berry and Coloma had one assist each.
St. Joseph's-Brooklyn goalkeeper Julia Marin recorded 18 saves in net.
The Rams will next travel to play non-conference opponent Stevens on Tuesday, September 26th at 7:00 p.m.
