RESULTS
MILTON, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, N.Y. for the 15th Annual Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invitational on Sunday. The men earned a second place finish out of 19 competing teams, while the women came in eighth of 15 teams.
Merchant Marine won the men's 8k race with all five scorers placing in the top 12. Pratt Institute captured the women's 6k race with three top-10 finishers.Â
Junior
Jonathan Engelhardt (Kings Park, N.Y.) led the FSC men with a time of 31:07, good for 12th place individually out of 136 runners.
Freshman
Gabriel Aguiar (Levittown, N.Y.) was second on the Rams and 20th overall with his time of 32:05.
Freshmen
Max Reilly (Levittown, N.Y.) (32:34.5) and
Amaan Narine (Jamaica, N.Y.) (32:59.2) finished in 25th and 29th, respectively, while junior
Daniel Catano (Deer Park, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring for Farmingdale State with a time of 33:03.8 and 30th place.
Seniors
Connor McKeever (North Babylon, N.Y.) (33:34.4) and
Anthony Piergiovanni (Wantagh, N.Y.) (33:58.1) also competed for the men and placed 34th and 38th.
On the women's side, senior
Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) led FSC with an 11th place finish (out of 117) in 30:30.2.Â
Freshman
Kaitlin Slattery (Merrick, N.Y.) followed with 22nd place in 33:01.5.
Nicole Pickett (Uniondale, N.Y.) (37:55.4),
Loamy Maldonado (Brentwood, N.Y.) (39:15.4) and
Meghan Cichon (Mahopac, N.Y.) (40:57.3) rounded out the scoring for the Rams earning 69th, 73rd and 83rd, respectively.
The cross country teams will next travel to compete in the Golden Eagle Invitational at Bethpage State Park on Friday, September 29th.
