Box Score Rams Post Scoreless Tie against Unbeaten

Glenside, Pa. - The Farmingdale State women's
soccer team ended today's game in a 0-0 double overtime tie with
unbeaten Arcadia University (6-0-3). The Rams now stand at 5-2-2
for the season and will face Old Westbury tomorrow afternoon at
4:00 p.m. in their second Skyline Conference game of the year.
Farmingdale outshot Arcadia 6-2 in the first half, but freshman
goalkeeper Jacki Law made five saves to keep her team in the game
after 45 minutes of play. The second half
With under four minutes remaining in regulation, the Rams
recovered a loose ball near the 18, but the shot hit the post and
would be the last threat of the second half as the game went into
overtime.
The Knights would get the next opportunity as a cleared ball in
the middle found the feet of junior Dana Faulks sneaking in to make
a play on Rao, but with two defenders on either side, Rao didn't
allow Faulks the shot and the first overtime came to an end.
The second overtime saw opportunities come and go for both teams
as the game ended in a draw with shutouts appropriately awarded to
both goal keepers. Rao made 5 saves to Law's 13 for the Knights.
Rao records her first shutout of the season, while Law picks up her
fifth.
Arcadia led in corner opportunities 7-2, including one in the
second overtime while shots were 18-12 in favor of the Rams.
