Newburgh, N.Y. - Freshman forward Taylor Horgan (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) and sophomore midfielder Brittany Williams (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) scored a goal each in the Rams 2-0 women's soccer victory on Thursday night against Mount Saint Mary College. Farmingdale is now 12-4-3 overall and 7-0-1 in the conference, while the Blue Knights fell to 7-7-2, 3-2-2 in the Skyline.

Horgan's goal came in the 9th minute (8:42) on a one-timer off a hard cross from the right side from freshman forward Christina Merrill (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees). The Rams took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break and Williams would score the insurance goal at 78:27 when Merrill sent a cross from the left side. Freshman forward Melissia Elie (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood) sent it over to Williams who sent a shot under the crossbar for the 2-0 lead.

Farmingdale held on for their 12th team shutout of the season, as freshman goalkeeper Stacey Rao (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) made two saves to improve her season record in net to 5-2-1 with five shutouts.

The Rams will now host the College of Mount Saint Vincent for the final regular season game on Saturday, October 31st at 1:00 p.m.
