Box Score Caden Honored as Rams Defeat St. Joe's

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's
soccer team defeated Skyline opponent St. Joseph's College, 2-0,
remaining undefeated in conference play. The Rams now hold an
overall record of 10-4-3 (5-0-1 Skyline) and the Golden Eagles
stand at 4-11-1 (3-3-1 Skyline).
The Rams led 1-0 at the half on a goal from 30 yards out by
sophomore midfielder Brittany Williams (Massapequa,
N.Y./Massapequa) at the 25:10 mark. Freshman midfielder Taylor
Horgan (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) scored Farmingdale's second
goal off Williams' pass late in the second half. The Rams did not
allow a shot until 38 seconds remaining in the contest, as they
outshot the Golden Eagles 29-2.
Senior Courtney Caden (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) was honored
at this afternoons game as Farmingdale squared off against her
former team. Caden played her previous three seasons at St.
Joseph's College before transferring to Farmingdale for her senior
year.
Freshman goalkeeper Stacey Rao (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot)
earned the win with one save for Farmingdale, while senior goalie
Dana Carney (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) had 11 saves for
St. Joe's.
The Rams travel to Sage for a Skyline Conference game on
Saturday, October 24th at 1:00pm.
