NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference released its latest spring weekly reports Tuesday morning, and Farmingdale State College senior men's lacrosse goalkeeper Dan Erler (Smithtown, N.Y.) received its Defensive Player of the Week award, while teammate and sophomore attacker Adam Giovinco (Syosset, N.Y.) earned a spot on its weekly honor roll.

Men's Lacrosse (3-2) | Skyline Weekly Report

Farmingdale State upped its winning streak to three games on Saturday afternoon, as it went on the road and defeated Eastern Connecticut State, 14-5. Giovinco notched four goals and one assist against the Warriors, while Erler made 10 of his 13 saves in the second half to move into sole possession of the Rams' career wins list (31).

FSC plays host to Lasell University on Wednesday afternoon at 3, before heading to Florida on Spring Break to play Western Connecticut State, March 19 (Wed.) at 11 a.m. in Orlando.

Track and Field

The Rams' indoor season wrapped up Friday and Saturday at the All-Atlantic Regional Championship, with men's sophomore thrower Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) earning All-Region kudos with his fourth-place, personal-record mark of 15.28 meters (50-1 3/4) in the shot put. Mercado's throw also ranks No. 3 on the Rams' all-time performance list, and is the top mark in the school's NCAA era (since the 2000-01 academic year).

Farmingdale State is slated to get its outdoor season underway April 5, when the teams travel to New London, Conn., for the Coast Guard Academy Spring Invitational.

Baseball (1-4) | Skyline Weekly Report

The Rams went 1-2 at home last weekend in a three-game series with non-conference foe Hobart College, including Friday afternoon's 3-1 victory over the Statesmen. FSC pitching limited the visitors to six hits in the win, while senior first baseman Jordan Lambert (Plainview, N.Y.) – who batted 4-for-9 with a walk and double on the weekend – scored the go-ahead run in the fourth inning on a fly ball to the outfield.

FSC opens its seven-game stint in Florida on Saturday night (March 15) in a 5:30 start against the Illinois Institute of Technology.
