Farmingdale State - 3, Lehman - 0 (25-6, 25-13, 25-8)
Bronx, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Lehman College on Tuesday night and earned a 3-0 non-conference victory.
The Rams (4-3) dominated in the first set with a 25-6 win and followed with 25-13 and 25-8 victories in the second and third set, respectively.
Freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) led the way with a game-high nine kills, had 10 assists and five service aces, while junior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) recorded seven kills on nine attacks. Sophomore setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) tallied game-highs in both assists (12) and aces (8) for the Rams.
Freshman setter Samantha Delgado (Warwick, N.Y.) had three kills, three aces, three digs and four assists for the Lightning (4-6).
Farmingdale State next will host their Skyline tri-match at Nassau Community College on Saturday, September 24th. The Rams will face Maritime at 10:00 a.m. and Sage at 2:00 p.m., while Maritime and Sage will square off at noon.
