Indianapolis, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Committee announced today the field of 64 teams that will compete in the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.
Farmingdale State will travel to Amherst College for their First Round game against #11 Dickinson College on Saturday, November 16th at 1:30 p.m. The other First Round matchup, which kicks off at 11:00 a.m., features host school #20 Amherst versus Maine Maritime. The First and Second Rounds (Saturday & Sunday) will be played on the campus of Amherst College.
The Rams (14-5-3) punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Skyline Conference for the fourth straight season and 12th time in the last 13 years. FSC defeated Manhattanville, 5-0, to claim the Skyline's automatic bid into the NCAA's.
#11 Dickinson (12-4-2) earned an at-large bid into the NCAA's. The Red Devils lost, 2-0, to Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference Championship.
#20 Amherst (14-3-1) clinched a berth into the Tournament by winning the NESCAC Championship. The Mammoths tallied a 1-0 victory over #9 Middlebury in the conference finals to earn the automatic bid.
Maine Maritime (13-4) joined the field of 64 by winning the North Atlantic Conference. The Mariners recorded a 1-0 victory over UMaine-Farmington in the NAC Championship game to earn their bid to the NCAA's.
The winners will meet in the Second Round on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
