Cal Lutheran Defeats Rams in Double OT

Cal Lutheran - 1, Farmingdale State - 0 (2OT)

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team fell 1-0 in double overtime to California Lutheran in today's non-conference game in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams dropped to 2-2 overall with the loss, while the Regals improved to 3-1.

Cal Lutheran freshman midfielder Melissa Abdelkerim (Tarzana, Calif.) scored the unassisted golden goal at 102:34 to give her team the 1-0 victory.

The Regals controlled the offense all game with a 22-3 shot advantage over the Rams, but Farmingdale State freshman goalkeeper Breanna Blair (Littleton, Colo.) was fantastic in net with a career-high 13 saves, including nine in the second half, to keep her team in the game.

Farmingdale State will now travel to face Western Connecticut on Tuesday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.
