Rams Fall 1-0 to #20 Rowan

Glassboro, N.J. - Farmingdale State fell 1-0 to #20 Rowan University (9-1-1) in a non-conference women's soccer game on Thursday night in Glassboro, N.J. The Rams outshot Rowan 9-7, but could not capitalize as they fell to the nationally ranked squad.

After allowing a first half goal in the 19th minute of play by junior Linda Sierra (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee), the Rams (10-3) outshot Rowan 7-3 in the second half, but freshman goalkeeper Deana Wood (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) made four saves en route to her sixth shutout of the season to secure the 1-0 win for Rowan.

Junior goalkeeper Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) made one save in defeat.

The Rams will now face St. Joseph's in a Skyline Conference game on Wednesday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at the Diamond in the Pines complex in Coram, N.Y.
