The Hawks of SUNY New Paltz (7-9-3) defeated the Rams (4-12-1) in today’s women’s soccer game at Farmingdale State. New Paltz controlled most of the game as they outshot Farmingdale 29-3. Stephanie DeRobertis (Newburgh, NY) scored the eventual game-winner 8 minutes into the first half off a pass from Lauren Martone (Hastings-on-Hudson, NY). Danielle Herring (Albany, NY) added the insurance goal for New Paltz at the 21 minute mark. With a scoreless second half, Hawks’ keeper Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) was awarded the shutout making 1 save for the day.

Farmingdale’s Pam Baione (Farmingdale, NY) played well in net totaling 15 saves.

The Rams will begin the Skyline Conference Playoffs on Wednesday. Game time and opponent will be announced on Monday, November 1st.
