Christie Ruppert Named Head Women?s Lacrosse Coach at Farmingdale State

Mike Harrington, Director of Athletics at Farmingdale State, announces today that Christie Ruppert has been named Head Womenís Lacrosse Coach at Farmingdale State.

Christie will coach the inaugural season of the program at Farmingdale State. The team will compete as a Club team this season and become a Varsity program for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Christie was a member of the Womenís Lacrosse Team at Adelphi University for the past four years, where she was Captain of the Division II NCAA National Championship team in 2004 and the ECAC Championship team in 2003. Christie received a Bachelorís Degree in Graphic Design from Adelphi University in 2003 and is currently working towards a Masterís in Art Education at Adelphi.

She is a 1999 graduate of MacArthur High School, where she played three years Varsity Volleyball and Basketball and two years of Varsity Badminton. She currently resides in Levittown, NY.
