10th Conference Win for Women's Basketball

Farmingdale State - 83, Purchase - 78 


Purchase, N.Y. - Farmingdale State women's basketball picked up their 10th conference win of the season on Tuesday night, January 29th, with a 83-78 victory over Purchase College (9-9, 6-5). The Rams are now 12-4 overall and 10-1 in the Skyline. Sophomore guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) scored a game-high 26 points and had six steals.

Senior forward Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, N.Y./South Shore) finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Kamaya Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

For Purchase, Jennifer Danio led with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while three other players also scored in double digits.

Farmingdale State will now host Skyline opponent Old Westbury at Noon on Saturday, February 2nd, with the men's game to follow at 2:00 p.m.
