Clark and Daley Receive All-Conference Recognition

The All-Conference teams were released today, February 26th, by the Skyline Conference and two members of the Farmingdale State women's basketball received All-Skyline recognition. Senior guard Rochelle Clark (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport) was named the Defensive Player of the Year and junior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) was named First Team All-Skyline.

Rochelle has been the Rams top defensive threat during her past two seasons with the team. She posted 5 or more steals in 11 games this year and a set a single game career-high of 11 steals on Dec. 6th. She led the team with 108 steals and was second in assists with 114. She ranks 5th in the nation with 4.2 steals per game, helping the team to an overall 3rd place ranking in Division III at 16.8 steals per game. Along with her steals and assists from the point, she added 7.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. She led the Conference in steals per game, while also ranking 5th in assists. She was one of just two players on the team to start all 26 games, with a team-high 32.8 mins per game.

Christine finished the year second on the team in scoring with 13.5 points per game, first in total points scored (319), first in 3-pt field goal percentage (.340) and tied for first in blocks with 21. She scored in double figures 19 times this season with season-highs of 28 points, seven steals and seven threes made in a game. Within the conference, she leads in three-pointers per game, 8th in three-point percentage, 6th in scoring and is 5th in blocked shots. Nationally, Daley is currently ranked 10th in three point field goals per game, as well as 69th in 3-pt field goal percentage. Daley was also one of just two players on the team to start all 26 games for Farmingdale.

Catch the girls in action this Wednesday night, February 28th, for an ECAC Metro Region Quarterfinal game at home against Drew University at 7:00 p.m.
