Purchase, N.Y. - Freshman guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) notched her first career double-double today with 23 points and 15 rebounds, leading the Rams to an 86-66 victory over Manhattanville (7-17, 5-10) in Purchase, N.Y. All five starters scored in double figures as the Rams shot 40-percent from the field, forced 29 turnovers and shot 16-of-19 from the free throw line in the win, improving their record to 15-6, 10-4 in the Skyline Conference.
The team tallied 21 assists as senior guard Rochelle Clark (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport) led with six and also added 11 points and seven steals for Farmingdale State. Junior guard Dankery Perez (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center) also had six assists, along with 12 points. Junior forward Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, N.Y./South Shore) finished with 13 points and nine boards, while junior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) had 10 points.
Manhattanville had four in doubles, including Cyntrell Robinson with a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds. Nina Johnson finished with 16 points, Dionne Walker had 12 points and Olivia Nastasi had 10.
The Rams travel to Riverdale, N.Y. on Monday, February 12th to face the College of Mount Saint Vincent in a Skyline game at 7:00 p.m.
