Farmingdale, NY – The Farmingdale State women's basketball team remained undefeated in the Skyline with a 78-69 win over Centenary College (4-2, 0-2) tonight in Farmingdale, NY. The Rams led the entire game and were up 20-4 midway through the first, but the Cyclones stormed back and cut the deficit to three points at halftime, 34-31. Farmingdale built the lead back up to 12 in the first three minutes of the second and would lead throughout to take the victory and improve to 6-2, 3-0 in the Conference.
Rams senior Rochelle Clark (Bellport, NY/Bellport) led the team with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals and junior Dankery Perez (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) finished with 18 points, seven boards, six assists and four steals. Sophomore Ashley Ruballo-Kline (New York, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) added 15 points and nine rebounds, while junior Christine Daley (Elmont, NY/Elmont) tallied 11 points and seven boards.
For the Cyclones, junior Stephanie Roberts (Bakersfield, CA/South) posted game-highs of 27 points and 15 rebounds. Junior Jessa Jones (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) and freshman Kristen Panariello (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph's by the Sea) both contributed 14 points each.
Farmingdale State will host New Jersey City on Saturday, December 16th at 1:00pm for their final game before the winter break. The men's game will follow at 3:00pm.
