Miller Named to Skyline Player of the Week Honor Roll

Farmingdale State junior center Mercedes Miller (New York, NY/Manhattan Center) was named to the Skyline Player of the Week Honor Roll for women's basketball on Monday, December 11th. Mercedes guided the Rams to a 2-1 week with a double-double of 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds, shooting 60-percent from the floor. First the Rams gave NYU a run for their money as their best competition so far this season, in a 59-48 loss, as Miller packed in 12 points, 9 boards and 4 blocks against the Violets. She then helped Farmingdale to two conference wins with 17 points and 6 steals against St. Joe's and 20 points (8-of-11 from the FT line), 16 boards and 2 blocks in an overtime win over Mount Saint Vincent.
