The Rams improved to 7-3 overall with their second half comeback victory over Wilkes University (3-9). Trailing 38-23 at the half, Farmingdale went off in the second scoring 48 points to take a 71-68 decision. Freshman Dankery Perez (Manhattan, NY/Manhattan Center) put the Rams ahead for the first time all game after scoring eight of her total 13 points in the final three minutes. She went 3-for-3 from the floor, had two steals and sunk 2 free throws with 25 seconds left. Farmingdale’s Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) finished with game-highs of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman I’shawna West (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) shot 4-for-8 from behind the arc for the Rams, finishing with 14 points.

Wilkes was led by Karyn Perestam with 22 points and nine rebounds and Rena Bolin with eight points, six rebounds, five assists and seven steals.

Farmingdale will travel for a 5:00pm Skyline Conference game on Monday, January 10th against St. Joseph’s College.
