The FSC softball team won the first game 5-2 and improved to 9-9 overall and 4-2 in Skyline Conference play.

The Rams held a 1-0 edge in the top of the fourth and used an RBI single to right field by senior left fielder Allison Dailey (Commack, N.Y.) to go ahead, 2-0.

Senior first baseman Lori Michalowski (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) led off the top of the fifth with an infield single and Rayfield followed with a walk before a 3-run home run by freshman second baseman Jessica Lombardo (Levittown, N.Y.) extended the Farmingdale State advantage to 5-0.

The Gryphons were led by sophomore shortstop Taryn Penna (Sparta, N.J.) and freshman second baseman Karissa McAuley (Loudonville, N.Y.) who each had two hits.
