Anderson Named NFCA All-Northeast Region


Louisville, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) is proud to announce the 364 players chosen for the 2016 NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams. As in the past, the squad is comprised of three teams in each of the country's eight NCAA regions.

Farmingdale State senior catcher Meagan Anderson (Patchogue, N.Y.) was selected Second Team All-Northeast Region. A 4-Time All-Skyline Conference selection and former Skyline Rookie of the Year, this marks her second All-Region award. This season, she led the Rams in batting average (.473), runs (30), hits (43), doubles (6), triples (2), home runs (6), RBI's (27), total bases (71), slugging percentage (.780), on-base percentage (.545), stolen bases (8) and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 29 games played.

She leaves Farmingdale State ranked 2nd All-Time for batting average (.434), runs (151), hits (205), triples (13), and total bases (319). She is 3rd All-Time with a .671 slugging percentage, along with the 3rd most Doubles (46), stolen bases (31), putouts (513) and homeruns (14).
