Hope is a 2007 graduate of Bay Shore High School, where she was named All-American, All-State, All-County and All-League. Newsday voted Hope Long Island's Most Valuable Player. She is the daughter of Frank Zino and Barbara Bettinelli.

Senior year...Posted a 9-8 record with 12 complete games in 16 starts...Led the team in ERA (2.32), strikeouts (104), shutouts (5) and opponents batting average (.207).

Junior year...Named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Year for the third consecutive season and named Skyline Tournament MVP...Received NFCA All-Atlantic Region honors and was named an ECAC Metro All-Star...Earned Skyline Pitcher of the Week honors six times and named Player of the Week once... Led the conference in wins (20), E.R.A. (1.29) and strikeouts (189)...Ranked sixth in the nation with 10 shutouts.

Sophomore year...Named Skyline Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season and a First Team ECAC All-Star...Held a 15-6 overall record with a 2.11 earned run average...Recorded 15 complete games and seven shutouts in 19 starts...Struck out 140 batters and held opponents to a .216 batting average.

Freshman year...Named Skyline Pitcher of the Year her rookie season...Led the conference in wins (16), ERA (1.38). strikeouts (165) and opponents batting average (.185)...Picked up a complete game in all 18 starts and had seven shutouts.
