Farmingdale, N.Y. - Junior pitcher Hope Zino (Bay Shore, N.Y.) tossed a one-hitter, her fifth of the season, while sophomore right fielder Jennifer Jarczynski (West Babylon, N.Y.) hit her seventh homerun of the season, to help the top-seeded Farmingdale State softball team to a 4-0 win over #4 Mount Saint Mary College (20-12-1) in today's First Round Game of the Skyline Conference Playoffs.

The Rams went ahead 1-0 in the second inning after junior second baseman Madison Snyder (Medford, N.Y.) singled to center and would come home on a fielder's choice by sophomore third baseman Kristen Flint (Brentwood, N.Y.).

In the fourth, Snyder tripled to left center and scored her second run of the day as Jarczynski reached on an error to make it 2-0. In the bottom of the sixth, Jarczynski hit her seventh homerun of the season, a two-RBI shot over the left field fence, to give her team a 4-0 lead with one inning left to play.

In the seventh, Zino struck out two out of three batters, finishing with nine strikeouts for the day in her eighth shutout win of the season. She now holds an 18-1 overall record.

Mount Saint Mary's senior third baseman Sarah Johnson (Montgomery, N.Y.) posted the teams only hit in the fourth inning, an infield single up the middle.
