
Farber Named to NFCA Atlantic Region Second Team
Starkville, Miss. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Region teams on Thursday, May 13th and junior shortstop Nicole Farber was named to the Atlantic Region Second Team.
After being named the Skyline Conference Player of the Year for
the second straight season, Farber picks up her first All-Region
award. She led the conference in eight offensive categories
including batting average (.537), slugging percentage (1.000),
on-base percentage (.586), runs scored (53), hits (66), runs batted
in (70), total bases (123), and stolen bases (tied with14). She
also ranked third in the conference with 11 home runs.
This season, she set single-season school records for batting average, runs, hits, doubles, RBI's, total bases, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. She also joined the NCAA record book for consecutive hits, posting eight consecutive hits on March 16th-17th and six consecutive hits on April 22nd.
Nationally, she is currently ranked 2nd for RBI's per game and slugging percentage, 3rd for batting average, 9th for on-base percentage, 10th for runs per game, 16th for home runs, 17th for toughest to strikeout and 32nd for home runs per game.
