The Rams (2-0) picked up their first two wins of the season against Old Westbury in double-header softball action on April 6th at Panther field in Old Westbury, NY. Freshman pitcher Jaclyn Buckshaw (Oakdale, NY/Connetquot) pitched a total of eight innings over the two games, striking out 10 batters, while allowing no earned runs and only four hits. Farmingdale junior shortstop Tiffany deBeaumont (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) pitched the final two innings of game two and was awarded the save after retiring the final seven-of-eight batters.

Senior Kristen Tong (Swanzey, NH/Monadnock Regional) had six runs batted in off four hits for the Rams, including a three-run homerun in game one. Sophomore Gina Moscato (Hicskville, NY/Hicksville) finished with three RBI’s and two hits, while deBeaumont knocked in five runs on the day.

The Rams host Maritime College in a Skyline Conference double-header on Thursday, April 7th starting at 3:30 pm.
