Lettieri Records First Career Win at St. Joseph's Invitational

Kings Park, N.Y. - FSC sophomore Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) won her first career 5k race in a time of 19:57.7 at the 18th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday, October 14th at Sunken Meadow State Park. Lettieri led the women to a second place finish overall, while the men placed ninth. The women came in second only to Division I Fordham University.

Along with Lettieri's first place finish, senior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) came in 8th (20:46.5) and sophomore Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) slated a 16th place finish (21:26.2) for the women.

For the men, sophomore David Santa (Maspeth, N.Y.) finished the 8k in a team-best 30:12.1 for a 34th place finish.

Farmingdale State will now run at the Skyline Conference Championship in Purchase, N.Y. on Sunday, October 29th.
