Frederic Places Third at Skyline Championship
- Women finish fourth, men place fifth -
Newburgh, N.Y. - Sophomore William Frederic (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with a third place finish in a time of 28:42.19 at the Skyline Conference Championship held at Chadwick Lake Park in Newburgh, N.Y. The men's team finished in fifth place out of seven teams, while the women placed fourth of six.
Frederic finished 37 seconds behind individual champion Cameron Coneys of Maritime College. Freshman Dan Barrett (Wantagh, N.Y.) placed 22nd (31:52.98) and junior Matthew Collarafi (Amityville, N.Y.) took 28th place (32:24.18).
The women were led by junior Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) who finished in a team-best ninth place with a time of 21:42.18. Freshman Carina Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) earned a 26th place finish (24:20.62) and sophomore Druscilla Dickson (Copiague, N.Y.) finished 30th (25:01.23).
St. Joseph's captured both the men's and women's team championships.
