Rams Finish 25th at Atlantic Regionals

Mount Morris, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's cross country team finished 25th of 38 scoring teams at the 2009 Division III Atlantic Regional on Saturday, November 14th at Letchworth State Park in Mount Morris, N.Y. Sophomore Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) led the Rams with a time of 27:34.4 and a 102nd place individual finish.
Cortland State and SUNY Geneseo took first and second place, respectively, and received the automatic qualifiers to the Division III Championship next Saturday, November 21st in Highland Hills, Ohio.
Farmingdale was the top Skyline school in the meet, ahead of Maritime, St. Joseph's and Bard College, while also finishing ahead of Richard Stockton, Union, Hobart, Rutgers-Newark, Hunter, New Paltz, Alfred State, Buffalo State, Hartwick, SUNY IT, and Hilbert.
In their first-ever Regional appearance, Daly was the leader of a top five which features four sophomores and one junior, showing promise for the next few years of cross country at Farmingdale State.
