Skyline Releases Cross Country Report #6

- Melissa Bonilla and Sean Tiernan named Runners of the Week, Marjorie Diemicke Rookie of the Week, Sean Daly and Tim Flynn named to Honor Roll

Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the sixth Cross Country report for the 2009 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Freshman Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Farmingdale) was named Skyline Conference Runner of the Week for the women. She ran a personal-best time of 21:00 on the 5K course at the NJIT Highlander Invitational. Bonilla finished in 10th place out of 75 runners, first among Skyline competition.

Sophomore Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) was named Skyline Runner of the Week for the men. Tiernan recorded a personal-best time of 27:00, earning him a fourth place finish out of 121 competitors at the NJIT Highlander Invitational. He led Farmingdale State to an impressive second place finish out of 14 teams.

Freshman Marjorie Diemicke (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) was named Rookie of the Week for the women. Diemicke finished in 32nd place with a time of 23:15, the second fastest on the team. She ran the 5K course in a personal-best time.

Sophomore Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll after finishing in fifth place at the Highlander Invitational. Daly completed the 8K course in a personal-best 27:07, only seven seconds behind teammate Sean Tiernan.

Junior Tim Flynn (Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony's) was named to the Honor Roll after a 10th place finish on the 8K course at the Highlander Invitational. Flynn ran a personal-best 27:52, helping the Rams to their second place finish.
