Joseph graduated in 2008 from Carey High School. In 2006, he was the Nassau County Champion of the 100m and 400m, All-State in the 200m, and All-County in the 55m. In 2008, Joseph was the Nassau County Champion in the 300m and All-State in the 300m.

He is the son of Marjorie Rogers.
