Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Posts Highest Finishes in School History

Allentown, PA - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track team competed in the Collegiate Track Conference Championships this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23 at DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The men's team scored 52 points to finish in a tie for 6th place out of 36 teams. This is the highest outdoor team finish in school history.

The women's team placed 10th with 10 points. This is also the highest women's team place in school history. Kara Grech broke her own school record in the Pole Vault. Kara placed 3rd with a vault of 8'8". Kara also placed 5th in the Javelin Throw in 85'8" (26.11m).

Outstanding performances were turned in by:

Akil Williams - High Jump: 2nd place, 6' 6 3/4" (2.00m), personal best

Armann Leiffson - 800m: 2nd place, 1:56.65, personal best

Reggie Routier - 110m High Hurdles: 2nd place, 15.68, personal best

Earl Noel - 110m High Hurdles: 3rd place, 16.00, personal best

Patric Santiago - Triple Jump: 3rd place, 13.46m (44' 6"), personal best and ECAC Qualifier

Reggie Routier - Triple Jump: 4th place, 13.38m (43' 10 3/4")

Mike Landi - 1500m: 7th place, 4:16.35, personal best

Jason Chin-Chitty - Long Jump: 5th place, 20' 7 1/2"

4x400m Relay Team - Armann Leiffson , Akil Williams, Jason Hernandez, Mike Landi: 4th place, 3:31.63
