Head Coach: Patric Santiago (2nd season)
A 2006 Farmingdale State graduate, Patric joined the Track and Field
coaching staff for the 2006-07 seasons. Santiago became the head coach of Farmingdale State in 2011.
He is also the only student-athlete to ever compete in four sports in school history and was Captain of all
four sports during his career, including soccer, golf, indoor and outdoor
track.
Patric was a two-year Captain in both indoor and outdoor, competing in
the High Jump and Triple Jump. He finished in 4th place in the Triple
Jump at the 2005-06 Indoor Track ECAC Championship's and 8th at the
Collegiate Track Conference Championship (CTC's) in 04-05. In outdoor
track, he finished 3rd at the 2006 CTC's and 4th at the 2006 ECAC's
in the Triple Jump and took 4th place at the 2005 CTC's. Patric leaves
the Track and Field team on Farmingdale State's Top-Ten Performance
List for the Triple Jump in 3rd place.
Academically, Patric graduated with a GPA of 3.96 and was named an ESPN
The Magazine Academic All-American in 2006. He was a member of Phi Theta
Kappa and the Vice President of our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
He was the first student-athlete at Farmingdale to receive the
Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence in 2005, was a two-time
recipient of the Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award (2005 and 2006)
and a two-time Farmingdale State Male Athlete of the Year (2004 and 2006).
He also received the 2006 ECAC Robbins Scholar-Athlete Award, which is
given annually to just one male and one female student-athlete from
Divisions I, II and III.
Assistant Coach: Jim Seifert
Jim Seifert joins the team as an Assistant Coach for the 2006-07 season.
Jim is a former assistant coach at Farmingdale (1993) and returns with
a wealth of experience, locally and nationally. From 1992-1996, he
trained full-time and competed on the US National Team in the Discus
Throw. During two of those years, he had the longest throw in the US and
in 1993 had the 2nd longest throw in the World. He was a member of the
1996 Athens Olympic Centennial Games. In 1992, he won gold medals in 3
International Meets in Canada and Europe while competing on the US
National Team.
Jim graduated from Long Island University - C.W. Post in 1984 with a
Bachelor's degree in Business Management. He coached at Farmingdale in
1993 and coached at St. Anthony's High School in 1994. He is currently a
Certified Personal Fitness trainer, working independently training
clients in their homes and at various local gyms. He also works privately
with high school and elite-level athletes as their strength and
conditioning coach and performs strength and conditioning clinics
throughout the Northeast.
Assistant Coach: Caryl Senn-Griffiths
Coach Senn has been a volunteer coach at Farmingdale State from 1986 -
present. She is a former USA and Olympic Track Coach of the USA Amputee
Team where she coached for 15 years. International competitions she took
part in include, Barcelona, Spain; the Atlanta Olympic Games; the World
Championships in Berlin, Germany; the Pan American Games in Mexico City,
Mexico; and the Paralympic Revival in Duderstadt, Germany.
As a track runner, she was a Two-Time All-American in the Heptathlon at
Ithaca College. She is a former ECAC Champion and Record holder in the
Heptathlon and Pentathlon while she attended Ithaca. She is a 14-Time
Empire State Games Champion in the Heptathlon. She is a Master's World
Record holder in the Pentathlon and 4x400 Relay, as well as a Master's
American Record holder in the Heptathlon.
Coach Senn has been a Physical Therapist and Director of Sports Medicine
at a facility in Massapequa for the past 16 years. She was recently
inducted into the Massapequa / Berner High School Hall of Fame for career
and athletic achievements.

Assistant Coach: Reggie Routier
Reggie Routier returns to Farmingdale State to start his coaching career after earning his Masters degree in Sports Management at Cortland State University. While competing at Farmingdale State, he won the ECAC Championships and CTC Championship in the triple jump. Routier qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships three times, finishing 12th indoors in 2007.
