The freshmen men excelled at the Seton Hall Games on December 12th led by Ian Lovergies (Castle Point, NY/Beacon) 3rd place in the high jump (62) and long jump 20 9 Ύ. Reggie Routier (Amityville, NY/Freeport) placed 5th in the 60m high hurdles (8.78), Andre Spears (Westbury, NY/Westbury) placed 5th in the triple jump (43 1 Ύ). Tywaun Sanford (Freeport, NY/Freeport) placed 5th in the 400m (51.65) and Reuben Hairston (Freeport, NY/Freeport) placed 6th in the long jump (204).
Other notable performaces:
Four triple jumpers went over 40 feet: Spears 41 1 Ύ, Hairston 41 11 Ό, Routier 41 6 and Patric Santiago (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) 40 5.
Freshman Kevin Desrouilleres (Spring Valley, NY/Ramapo) had a 40 shot put.
For the womens team, Sophomore Indiana Ripoll (New York, NY/JFK) placed 4th in her 800m section in 2:44.28 followed by junior Rachel Siegel (Medford, NY/Bellport) who was sixth in 2:50.63. Freshmen sprinters who ran the 200m were: Jamela Jacobs (Brooklyn, NY/William H. Maxwell) 30.42, Mariama Conteh (Bronx, NY/St. Barnabas) 30.98 and Cynthia Dumas (White Plains, NY/Good Counsel) 32.82.
