Rams Notch Two on Men's Tennis All-Skyline List

New York, N.Y.– The eight Skyline Conference men's tennis head coaches have voted on their 2016 all-conference team, and the Maccabees of Yeshiva University have swept all three major awards. Junior David Papis Elon (Herzliya, Israel) repeats as the Skyline Conference Player of the Year, while freshman teammate Mikey Ozery (Plantation, Fla.) collects Rookie of the Year kudos. YU's second-year head coach, Jon Rubinstein, received the Coach of the Year nod from his peers.

Farmingdale State had two All-Conference selections this season. Freshman Andy Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was named to the First Team and senior Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) was named Second Team.

Bentz recorded an 8-5 record in the #1 singles position this season, while posting a 9-5 record at #1 doubles. He started his rookie season with six straight doubles wins. During the regular season in conference matches, he went 5-2 in singles and 4-3 in Skyline doubles play.

Palacios picks up his third career All-Conference award after posting a 6-3 record at #2 singles and also a career-high 10 wins in doubles play. Palacios will leave Farmingdale State ranked in the Top-10 for career doubles wins.
