FSC Defeats Staten Island in Non-Conference Match

Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team traveled to the College of Staten Island for a non-conference match on Saturday and earned a 6-3 victory. The Rams improved to 3-2 on the year with the win.

Farmingdale State tallied two points in doubles as the pair of Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and Andy Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) recorded an 8-4 victory in the #1 slot, while Joseph Drago (Bronx, N.Y.) and Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) won 8-2 in the second position.

Staten Island's (2-2) Chris Livoti (6-1, 6-2) and Andrew Adia (7-6, 6-0) earned victories at first and second singles, respectively. At #3 singles, FSC's Dan Baruch (East Meadow, N.Y.) recorded a 6-3, 6-4 win and Beaubrun tallied a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the fourth slot. Drago (6-0, 6-1) and Josh Kaplan (Greenlawn, N.Y.) (6-2, 6-0) rounded out the singles competition with wins for Farmingdale State.

The Rams next will host Lehman in a non-conference match on Wednesday, March 30th at 4:00 p.m.
