Rams Shutout Sage in Conference Opener

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team improved to 3-2 overall, 1-0 in Skyline play with a 9-0 win against The Sage Colleges today.

The Rams swept the doubles matches, 8-0 (1st), 8-4 (2nd), 8-4 (3rd) and then saw two-set shutouts from freshman Tyler Danzy (Central Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) at 1st and 2nd singles.

The other four singles wins came from junior Jimmy Lopez (Medford, N.Y.) at 3rd, junior Brian Heinlein (Patchogue, N.Y.) at 4th singles, freshman Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) at 5th singles and freshman Cajetan Ferrraro (Flushing, N.Y.) in the 6th spot.

Farmingdale State will next face Skyline opponent Yeshiva University at the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, N.J. on Thursday, March 27th at 8:00 p.m.
