Christian graduated from Half Hollow Hills East in 2010. His team won the Suffolk County Championships in 2008 and 2010. Christian was a Coaches Award winner his junior and senior seasons. He is the son of Thomas and Dianne Bormann.

Sophomore year...Earned First Team All-Skyline honors...Posted a 10-5 mark at both second singles and first doubles.

Freshman year...Named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year...Held a 9-6 record at first singles and a 12-4 mark at #1 doubles...Was a perfect 7-0 in both singles and doubles in league play...Named Skyline Tournament MVP and Rookie of the Week three times.
