Alex is a 2008 graduate of Lindenhurst High School, where he was the teams MVP and received All-League Honors. Alex is the son of Vietcheslave and Svetlana Bessarabov.

Junior year...Named Second Team All-Conference and Skyline Tournament MVP...Posted an 11-4 record (5-0 Skyline) playing mainly #3 singles...Was 8-6 in second doubles.

Sophomore year...Posted a 12-2 record at #3 singles and was 9-7 in doubles...Received Second Team All-Skyline Conference honors.

Freshman year...Named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year...Finished the season 7-4 at #2 singles and 1-0 at #1 singles...Held a 9-3 doubles record playing a majority of the matches in the #2 position.
