Rams Drop Non-Conference Game at Baruch

Maspeth, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team fell to 1-1 on the season after a 5-2 road loss at Baruch on Wednesday afternoon. The Bearcats improved to 1-1 with the victory.

After leading 2-0 midway through the first half, Baruch increased their lead to 3-0 after senior midfielder Victor Tlepshev (Kiryat Gat, Israel) scored an unassisted goal after intercepting a Farmingdale State pass. The Rams cut the deficit to 3-1 with 13:34 left in the first half on a J.T. Famularo (Levittown, N.Y.) goal after being set up with a cross in front by Gerard Farrell (Floral Park, N.Y.).

Trailing 4-1 with 14:05 remaining, sophomore midfielder Victor Romero (Bay Shore, N.Y.) scored a Rams goal as Famularo tallied the assist. A late Bearcats goal capped off the 5-2 non-conference victory for Baruch.

Farmingdale State next will face Rowan in a non-conference road match on Friday, September 6th at 8:00 p.m.
