Men's Lax Cruises to Win over Knights

Newburgh, N.Y. - The Farmingale State men's lacrosse team improve to 6-3 overall, 2-0 in conference play with a 16-4 victory over Mount Saint Mary College (3-6, 1-2) today in Newburgh, N.Y.

The Rams led 7-0 after the first period and led 7-1 at the halftime break, before notching nine more goals the rest of the way as they held the Knights to just three scores in the final two periods.

Junior attack Tom Rotanz (Wading River, N.Y.) and freshman midfielder Ryan McArdle (East Northport, N.Y.) both finished the day with four goals and one assist. Junior attack Philip Schaefer (Holbrook, N.Y.) and freshman attack Tyler Rifice (Bohemia, N.Y.) each scored three goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Thomas Fallon (Kings Park, N.Y.) made 11 saves in his 55 minutes for the win.

Farmingdale State will now travel to face Skyline opponent Kean University on Wednesday, April 9th at 7:00 p.m.
